Can this edit text that is already in the PDF?
No. The first version adds visible text and marks as overlays; it does not find, replace or reflow existing text. PDFs use fixed page layouts and arbitrary text replacement can damage spacing, fonts and document structure.
What can I add to a PDF?
You can place text and simple APPROVED, DRAFT or REVIEW stamps, drag a highlight, draw freehand marks or outline a rectangular area. Imported images, form editing and replacement of existing text are not included in this first version.
Can I change page order or orientation?
Yes. Move the current page earlier or later, rotate it by 90 degrees, or delete it from the edited copy. Keep the original and inspect the exported page sequence and orientation.
Can I edit a digitally signed PDF?
No. Saving any changed copy would invalidate the digital signature, so BytesPDF detects signed PDFs and leaves them unchanged. Download the original and use a workflow that preserves its signature.
Will the edited PDF preserve forms, links and bookmarks?
This tool rewrites the PDF and does not guarantee preservation of every advanced PDF feature. Interactive forms, bookmarks, links, annotations, accessibility structure and unusual page features may change. Keep the source and inspect the result before use.
Are my files uploaded?
The selected PDF is read and processed in this browser tab; the document bytes are not sent to BytesPDF servers. Browser extensions, device security and your download location remain outside that claim.
