About BytesPDF

A focused PDF product built around one architectural decision: the current merge and compression tools do not require BytesPDF to receive the selected document.

Why we built it

Many useful PDF services process documents on remote infrastructure. That can enable broad features and substantial compute, but it also makes the provider a document recipient. For routine compression and merge tasks, modern browsers can support a different option.

BytesPDF downloads application and worker code, then processes the selected PDF in the current browser session. This reduces one data transfer without pretending to remove device, browser, extension, dependency, screen, download-folder, or downstream-recipient risks.

What the product supports today

Compression

One selected PDF at a time, with image-focused presets, a 150 MB desktop limit, and a 50 MB mobile limit. Results vary by content.

Merge

Whole-file ordering and source rotation for up to 20 files on desktop or 10 on mobile, within the combined-size limits.

BytesPDF does not currently provide OCR, conversion, page extraction, font subsetting, signed-PDF rewriting, password decryption, or PDF/A certification. See How It Works for the detailed boundary.

Who maintains BytesPDF

BytesPDF is a Global Paradigm product. Zeeshan is the lead engineer and is named as the reviewer on technical question and comparison pages. The BytesPDF Editorial Team maintains the educational guides and updates them when documented product behavior changes.

Editorial principles

  • Describe current behavior rather than planned functionality.
  • Label examples and limitations instead of inventing benchmarks.
  • Keep high-stakes recipient instructions above generic advice.
  • Use current official sources for competitor facts and disclose BytesPDF's conflict of interest.
  • Do not publish ratings, review counts, certifications, or compliance claims without evidence.
